Hear The Ocean

For this piece, I was inspired by the silent beauty of kelp forests — vast underwater ecosystems formed by large brown algae. These incredible habitats are home to countless marine species and play a crucial role in maintaining ocean health.

Found in temperate, polar, and some tropical coastal oceans, kelp forests are facing degradation due to overfishing, overgrazing, and the effects of climate change. With this artwork, I wanted to honour their magnificence and draw attention to their fragility.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate these underwater giants — and protect what’s left. 💙

This artwork was made during Our Planet Week 2025.
